MK Playboat

The Play Boat is an innovative project funded by the Big Lottery Fund which brings play to the heart of Milton Keynes and the surrounding area. During their time aboard, the children can enjoy a variety of fun and games including arts and crafts, music making, learning about wildlife and water safety. They will also be able to play both on and off the boat, making full use of the green spaces and woodlands that surround the canal towpaths.

ArtworksMK

Artworks-mk in association with Sugar Skull Cycles will be home for the weekend to the World Famous Bicycle Basket Bazaar - which is quite simply a cross between the most cutting edge craft fair and the best flea market you have ever been to with a little bit of the village fete thrown in for good measure!

With a host of exciting local designer makers who sell beautiful handmade and vintage treasures you will not find on any high street, either here or abroad. In addition you will find fun things to do and photograph around the courtyard, pop in to the free photographic exhibition or take a break and sample the WI's wonderful cake selection with a cup of tea.

You may know that a number of talented artists have their studios in and around the Artworks Courtyard, and many of these will be open over the festival weekend so that you can see them at work - many will also have unique items that you can purchase. Artists include jewellery designers, painters, potters, printers, feltmakers and much more…

This year Artworks will also be providing hot and cold light meals in their new 'café', so if you fancy a delicious snack, why not pop in?

The mobile library will be located in the Artworks Courtyard this year.

The Church will once again have stalls and attractions, with live music performances in the Church.
