Great Linford Waterside Festival
20 - 22 June 2008

We now have Facebook groups and MySpace pages! Click on Links to get those details!

Well, the 2008 festival has been and gone - and once again it was a stormer! We've had some unique weather over the last couple of years but the sun was out and Sunday was the most chilled out family atmosphere we've experienced for some time!

There are many pictures of the festival this year (for once!). One of our volunteers, Jamie, has an excellent FLICKR scrapbook available to view here.

As usual, we've ended up with a box of lost property! Scant details are below, if you want to claim any of these items then email david@meerkatmedia.co.uk and prepare for some pretty searching security questions! If things remain unclaimed by the end of July then they will be disposed of appropriately.

Green "Leda" Rucksack/Stool Combi

Black/Grey "A2B" Rucksack

Black "George" Hooded Jacket - 6-7 years

Purple Flower Cushion with Yellow Flower Centre

Black "Tesco" Boywarmer - 5-6 years

Bangle/Bracelet with Pink and White Pattern

Purple Sunglasses with Butterfly/Flower Pattern

Blue/Green Thin Prescription Glasses

Using a SatNav or Routeplanner to get to the festival? Type in MK14 5DZ to get to the Parklands Carpark!

Organised and run entirely by volunteers, this not-for-profit festival is put together every year with the help and assistance of various local bodies and organisations. We try very hard to make sure the festival remains free for people to attend, although rising costs from suppliers and shrinking grant assistance means we have to find ways to sustain the festival. This year we are continuing with a nominal parking charge for using our manned car parks. On the Saturday and Sunday, there will be a charge of £2 per car per day - but admission to the event itself remains free. We apologise if this mars you enjoyment of the day in any way; if you have alternative methods for us to raise funds the please don't hesitate to contact the committee!

You can view the Festival location by clicking here to visit the maps hosted by MKWeb.

Can YOU be a part of the team for next year's festival? No matter how much free time you can spare there is always something that you can do! Email us with your details here.

We meet once a month, usually on a Thursday (check dates here), if you're interested then please email us at the website address.
