Linda Watkins
Linda grew up in the heart of South Wales amidst a musical family with Irish connections. This gave her a very healthy interest in Celtic traditions and songs, and she has been singing in both English and Welsh since the age of three. First and foremost she is a singer-songwriter with a passion for melody, and a guitar technique that ranges from delicate folk accompaniment through to strident and percussive contemporary styles - this carries through to Linda's use of other instruments including bodhran and mandolin.
Currently Linda performs alongside bass player Mike Moyse, who himself has a long history in music: from his very early days playing bass for successful sixties’ band The Yarebeats, he has emerged as a very accomplished musician; he now deftly dons a 6 string guitar, writes his own material and provides excellent harmonies with his gentle, folky voice.
