2009 - We wrote a festive story for Santa to read to the children visiting his Grotto at Frost’s Garden Centre at Millet’s Farm. The story featured plenty of local references and landmarks as specified by the client.

2009 - In partnership with MK Theatre of Comedy we provide a ghoulish service for the Milton Keynes Parks Trust annual Halloween walk. Family groups were led around a series of creepy scenes in one of the city’s parks while we jumped out and entertained them.

The following night we were doing the same for the MK Theatre District spooking diners and clubbers near MK Theatre. We were accompanied by a 9 foot Frankenstein monster! (see Comedy Costumes for more info).

2009 - In collaboration with MKTOC we appeared at the IKEA store in Milton Keynes as the 'Billy Shakespeare players', performing a series of silly Shakespearean themed sketches to customers. This was all part of the IKEA celebrations of 30 years of the Billy Bookcase. Shakesperience at IKEA

ActionCoach Logo
2009 - We have worked with ActionCoach in Milton Keynes to develop a series of humorous cards for marketing their services to business.

Northamptonshire NHS
2009 - We worked with the Thrive team within Northants NHS Trust providing creative input and a performer for a health at work promotional DVD.

PRIVATE COMMISSION
Wedding Event
2009 - To help make a couple’s wedding day just a bit different, we worked with the client to develop themed entertainment event centering around a fictional and completely daft company – the National Mistrust. We provided a local tour commentary of completely fabricated facts while guests were shuttled between venues on a London double decker bus and ran guided walking tours of the couples ‘stately home’ complete with crowd control ropes, signage and souvenir leaflet.

Thomson Holidays Logo
2008 - We have worked with Thomson Holidays to write a short (40 minute) small cast pantomime script (min 4 performers, max 8 performers) to be performed to guests by the local reps in a number of resorts for the 2008 / 2009 Christmas season. The result is a short version of Aladdin with minimal set and props with doubling up of characters and some alternative sections with the script to handle different cast sizes.

SweetIM Logo
2008/2009 - We have started work with SweetIM to develop a series of scripts and audio tracks for a range of smilies, emoticons, winks and nudges for emails and instant messenger tools. All with a localised, British theme and contents. We recorded VO tracks with local artists and SweetIM developed a range of animated graphics to fit the audio files. They are now available within the SweetIM online portfolio.

centre:mk Logo
The centre:mk – a huge shopping centre in Milton Keynes with over 230 retail outlets have used us to write and record scripts used in their annual Christmas Displays. Each display runs for just under 2 months and is a themed, free attraction, featuring dioramas, animatronics and a santa’s grotto, viewed by tens of thousands of shoppers each year. 2009 - For the 4th year running we worked on scripts for their Christmas Display – this time to with a Circus Big Top theme. We recorded songs and spoken word for an animatronic Ring master and assorted clowns.

2008 - Wizards: We scripted and recorded a series of tales for an animatronic wizard and talking tree for a magically themed Christmas display. Other deliverables included themed tannoy announcements, backing sound effects for a number of scenes and creative input into display design and look.

The display was visited by an estimated  3.8 million shoppers in November and December 2008!

2007 - The Wind in the Willows: We wrote and recorded three tales for an animatronic Badger who recounted stories of Toad's adventures. Soundtracks of backing ambient sound effects with randomised character chatter were devised for other related scenes.

2006 - Peter Pan: We devised two 10 minute scripts for an animatronic Captain Hook who burst into life every 20 minutes to harangue the crowd and berate Peter Pan and his lost boy friends. We also recorded two routines for a pair of animated pirate bears located at the other end of the shopping centre, who told pirate jokes and sang songs.

We supported all the displays by arranging teams of performers in costume to attend the opening ceremonies and provided entertainment for the crowds on a number of dates during the life of the displays.

The soundtracks were recorded at Sound-Board Studios.

The animatronic storytelling wizard and dragon at the 2008 Christmas display at thecentre:mk"TLC Creative devised, wrote, performed and recorded the audio scripts for two completely different animatronic shows which were an important part of our Christmas Display at thecentre:mk this year. The display has received national acclaim and it is important to us that every element of the show reaches the same high standards. TLC worked closely to the brief but added some real creative flair to produce scripts which worked exceptionally well for young and old alike. With completely original scripts they then performed and recorded these, with the assistance of Sound-Board Productions, and we were delighted with the exceptionally high production values. TLC have been both highly creative and very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them."

Adepteq Logo
2008 - Adepteq specialise in providing IT advice and solutions to businesses. We were asked to come up with a pair of comic short sketches to get across the message of the services that they provide. These sketches would then be filmed and used at seminars, sales presentations and on their website. We devised two scripts featuring a pair of commentators giving a running football style commentary of the office workers in their contest against the office systems. In the first sketch, the staff were struggling with diverse systems and old fashioned technology hampering their efforts, while in the second sketch, after help and solutions from Adepteq, the systems were now on their side and productivity was increased!
